Best Time to Cruise the Amazon River

The high-water season runs roughly from November to May. In that time, there can be anywhere from 60-180 inches of rain. This rainy season allows more extensive exploration in small craft and jungle access via water.

Low-water season is June through October with 30-100 inches of rain. This dry season, or shall we say less rainy season, may allow for more trail walks. But it typically rains some every day too.

Many think the best time to cruise the Amazon River is at the end of the rainy season in May and June, but our experts can help consult for your particular needs.
